Holyhead Hotspur who finished second in the Lock Stock Ardal Northwest will play Llanuwchllyn who finished third in the Lock Stock Northeast at Porthmadog FC on Friday May 16th., the winner having obtained the FAW tier two licence will be promoted to the JD Cymru Alliance

FAW Tier 3 Licence

Successful clubs

The FAW 3 Licence is required for clubs to participate in the Lock Stock Ardal Northern leagues for the 2025/26 season. 

The Club Licensing system aims to assist the continual improvement and development of football clubs within Wales. Licensing is a transparent process that enables clubs to demonstrate to their stakeholders that they meet quality standards. 

Following today’s meeting, (May 14th) the independent First Instance Body has decided on the following:

against Radnor Valley and having gained the FAW tier two licence in midweek can look forward to life in the JD Cymru North

Brickfield Rangers are within a point of the Lock Stock Ardal Northeast title after beating Dolgellau three nil, a result that ended their opponent’s play-off chances should all teams obtain the FAW tier three licence. With Bow Street not applying for the licence Brickfield will be promoted if they obtain the licence

Llanuwchllyn sealed a third placed finish with an emphatic win against visitors Radnor Valley, they will now play Holyhead Hotspur who finished runners up in the Lock Stock Ardal Northwest in the play off game to determine who gets promoted to

In the last game of the season in the Lock Stock Ardal Northwest Trearddur Bay beat Corwen by the odd goal in three, a win that saw them finish fourth in their first season in the league
