HISTORY
Brymbo Football Club has a long and prestigious history. It was founded more than 60 years ago and has a reputation as one of Wales' top amateur football clubs. They were formed as part of the famous Brymbo steelworks factory that was closed in 1990, which is where their Nickname; The Steelmen is derived from.
Following the disbandment of the Welsh National League in 2020, they were recognised as the most successful club in the leagues’ history winning the Welsh National League Championship on 14 occasions together with numerous cup successes. The pinnacle of their achievements was their Welsh Amateur Cup triumph in 1967 and the FAW Trophy in 2007.
