PYRAMID CHANGES AT THE END OF THE SEASON
Ahead of the JD Cymru Premier’s transition to a 16-team league in the 2026/27 season, the changes to the FAW pyramid regulations have been confirmed for the 2025/26 campaign.
Promotion from the third tier is unchanged for 2025/26. The four champions of each of the Ardal Leagues will earn automatic promotion, before the two runners-up in the Ardal North Leagues meet in a play-off and the two runners-up in the Ardal South Leagues meet in a play-off. The only change for one season is that only two clubs will be relegated from each league. This is all subject to clubs meeting Tier 2 licensing requirements.
